Hi ,
My son will be starting LKG this June. He is currently going to a playhome and will not be doing formal Nursery and directly join LKG.

Hi! Priya,

My daughter goes to Kensri School (CBSE) and she now goes to Pre Nursery.

They started with rhymes & colouring & crafts for the first few months. After October they started with Writing. SO by end of the academic year, the kid is supposed to write A-Z (Capital) and 1 - 10 in numbers and colouring. They also teach Months in a year, Days of the week etc., Story telling includes - Thirsty crow, Fox and the grapes, hare and the tortoise

Hope this helps. Which shool you have admitted your son.

Hi,I´ m a Mom of twins who are 3 years and 2 months now - we went to enroll them to a playschool but then found that they were actually eligible for KG1 !I wuz not sure about it since my kids have not been exposed to any kind of interaction or any kind of pre schooling or anything for that matter. In saudi we have a very closed and quiet enviiornment with very few friends - i have just potty trained them so they are still struggling with that - they have never been away from me or interacted with a group of kids, done any activity, with basic or no knowledge of english!the teachers of KG1 assured me that they will go slow in first term with their writing etc and not to worry mny kids cant even talk around here!but then i found out that by the last term there will be spellings of 3 letter words when they dont know even oral abc properly!! and the next year there will be a new language hindi n so on - i feel it will be a bit too uch for the kids to adjust to - my husband is happy that we wont be losing 1 year and that we will work hard with them and see to it that they finish LKG and cope up in studies.
I feel that we would be trying to rush our kids into adjusting to many things at once and putting pressure on kids to cope up would only make them dislike school psychologically.
please tell me if my fears are futile or do i have a point here.
We r confused coz we dont want them to waste their year when our kids can cope - nor do i want us to push our kids into school and books and MAKE them cope!
can someone advise?
is it worth putting them in a playschool or LKG directly?

this is also cbsc board - can u advise me if preschool is necessaryor not??

Nice Experience with Presidium
Hi dear

My son goes to Presidium Indirapuram too. He is in Vth grade and we haven' t had a single problem yet. Neither academics wise nor anything else. The faculty is really good and he' s really improved in his studies from before. The students even get a chance to perform or anchor on stage at the Annual Function. I guess you should stick to this school onl... - Sonam Patak [View Message]
Take Best Solution
One of my friend' s did. It is important to have the presence of both the parents in a child' s life. You could shift base to Bangalore which might be a little hard for your kid initially. But, children make friends quickly and adapt well. If you plan on moving here, I would suggest Orchid' s International School. My kid is studying there and I am a happy parent. Good Math Practice
I use simple things like charts cut in different shapes, papers with colourful texts and numbers, balls, even small pebbles at times. I shuffle them and make him to identify the correct number with correct shape, count the pebbles and so on.Also, you better not introduce your kid to computerised teaching aids very early as this might cause trouble - they get addicted to us... - Stutee Saini [View Message]
Discuss with ChildĀ“ s Teacher
Just make sure that you child mingles with other kids in school. My friend recently moved from another city and her child too was acting strangely after the relocation. Talk to your childĀ“ s teachers and discuss the problem. You could also discuss this with other parents at his school. I discuss my childĀ“ s behavioral problems with her teacher and at the interaction sess... - vishesh shrivstava [View Message]
