Hi ,
My son will be starting LKG this June. He is currently going to a playhome and will not be doing formal Nursery and directly join LKG.
So can someone pls tell me what is nursery syllabus in a good school. So I can train him at home and complete his nursery portion in the next 6 months.

Thanks in Advance
priya

Hi Priya, do not worry most of the time kids are taught about simple sums, numbers, colors and simple poems in pre school so you can always take out some time and team these things to your child.

Hey priyal, don't worry about the syllabus of nursery as you child won't have any difficulties in LKG even if he has not gone to nursery. You can ask the teacher of the LKG about what all your child must be knowing about.

Hey priya, it is fine that you are not sending your child to a nursery and sending him directly to LKG. The portion of the nursery is alphabets and some numbers and basic nursery rhymes. You can ask the parent of any kid who has attended nursery.

They started with rhymes & colouring & crafts for the first few months. After October they started with Writing. SO by end of the academic year, the kid is supposed to write A-Z (Capital) and one - ten in numbers and colouring. They also teach Months in a year, Days of the week etc., Story telling includes - Thirsty crow, Fox and the grapes, hare and the tortoise

Hi! Priya,

My daughter goes to Kensri School (CBSE) and she now goes to Pre Nursery.

They started with rhymes & colouring & crafts for the first few months. After October they started with Writing. SO by end of the academic year, the kid is supposed to write A-Z (Capital) and 1 - 10 in numbers and colouring. They also teach Months in a year, Days of the week etc., Story telling includes - Thirsty crow, Fox and the grapes, hare and the tortoise

Hope this helps. Which shool you have admitted your son.

Subject:  preschool necessary?

Hi,I´ m a Mom of twins who are 3 years and 2 months now - we went to enroll them to a playschool but then found that they were actually eligible for KG1 !I wuz not sure about it since my kids have not been exposed to any kind of interaction or any kind of pre schooling or anything for that matter. In saudi we have a very closed and quiet enviiornment with very few friends - i have just potty trained them so they are still struggling with that - they have never been away from me or interacted with a group of kids, done any activity, with basic or no knowledge of english!the teachers of KG1 assured me that they will go slow in first term with their writing etc and not to worry mny kids cant even talk around here!but then i found out that by the last term there will be spellings of 3 letter words when they dont know even oral abc properly!! and the next year there will be a new language hindi n so on - i feel it will be a bit too uch for the kids to adjust to - my husband is happy that we wont be losing 1 year and that we will work hard with them and see to it that they finish LKG and cope up in studies.
I feel that we would be trying to rush our kids into adjusting to many things at once and putting pressure on kids to cope up would only make them dislike school psychologically.
please tell me if my fears are futile or do i have a point here.
We r confused coz we dont want them to waste their year when our kids can cope - nor do i want us to push our kids into school and books and MAKE them cope!
can someone advise?
is it worth putting them in a playschool or LKG directly?

this is also cbsc board - can u advise me if preschool is necessaryor not??
