Baked Camembert with Garlic and Honey

INGREDIENTS

Very easy, very tasty, perfect for parties!

Camembert is a moist, soft creamy, surface-ripened cheese from Normandy, France

Ingredients:

Camembert cheese
Garlic
Honey
Basil leaves
Red chilli flakes

METHOD

Preheat the oven to 180 degrees C (350 degrees F).

Unwrap the plastic from the Camembert cheese wheel and place it in a ceramic bowl or a baking disk (if the cheese came in a wooden box, that is the best to bake in, but please put in on a plate or a baking sheet in the event the cheese oozes out)

Then make a cross on the top of the cheese with a sharp knife. Then gently pry it open slightly and squeeze finely diced garlic pieces.

Drizzle some olive oil and a tbsp of honey. Add chopped basil leaves and red chilli flakes. Set it to bake for 15 min (any longer would make it rubbery on cooling). Note that since this cheese has crusty top, the cheese will not necessarily ooze out.

Your baked Camembert is ready. Serve it hot with crackers and drinks.
