For a child of 5-7 years old, longer trekking hours in nearby hill or wood is the ideal one. Fires can be arranged and small meals can be cooked by the children. You can allow children to take photographs. A child of 8-9 years can be taken for a difficult trek e.g. trekking on the mountains as such kids can go out in a group and manage themselves without their parents.
