A: Your food has no relation to the child's gas formation.

A: A nursing mother should not smoke or drink alcohol. It is dangerous for the baby's health.

Q: I am a lactating mother. What diet should I follow to avoid being anaemic, keeping in mind that I do not want to overeat!

A: Take iron and calcium. Include methi [fenugreek], spinach and green vegetables in your diet. Drink plenty of milk. Have other things in moderate quantities and do not forget to exercise regularly. You will be fine and so will your baby and mother-in-law!

Q: My baby has a gas problem. I am still breastfeeding him. What should I do? Is something wrong with my diet? What should I eat?

A: There is no such thing as gas trouble for such small babies. You can go ahead and eat whatever you want.
