Q: What medicines should be given to a nursing mother of a 2 month old baby, if she is suffering from a cold and cough?

A: Ideally one should go in for all home remedies. She should do steam inhalation and hot water gargling. Also, if needed, she could take a Crocin. The cold will go away in a few days. If it persist, she should visit an ENT specialist.

Q: I am breastfeeding my baby. I am also on medication - and take Ciplox-Tz. Will this affect my baby?

A: No, this will not have any effect on your baby.

Q: My baby is 16 months old. I still nurse my baby. However, I had to go in for an abortion, and I was advised to take Flagyl 400mg along with Doxt. for 5 days. Is this medicine safe for my baby?
