hi my 7months old baby had got cold running nose from past 6days he does not drink milk at all now... other food atleast if i force him or show his toys he eats... but milk no way for me to give. can u please tell wht to do in this case.. should i force him to drink milk or should wait until his cold goes.. iam so worried per day he hardly takes 300ml milk,1apple,5-6spoons of rice and night kanju that is all for his diet is this sufficient for him.. iam so depressed seeing him like this... and past one month he has just increased 100gms wht to do? should i worry a lot?? prao replied. I havent tried, but read somewhere that vicks should not be applied on the baby' s skin. U can apply it on his clothes. i.e put a thin cotton top on him and apply vicks on the chest area. On this u can put a thicker shirt or sweater. That way vicks will not touch your babies skin even accidentally
Again this is just something I read.. havent tried it out gauri replied. my daughter does the same thing actually they cant hv milk coz of blocked nose...first yiu treat her cold coz generally its considered that its good you treat the cold of a small baby as soon as possible.
gv her medi she will be alright in 2 dose ..
let her sleep its better..u can apply vicks vapurub i read this on this site ..but be careful coz soemtimes babies cries a lot ...so better apply very less ....and see the reaction... sonia replied. for cold just see msg \" Gauri and others\" 10-15 msgs below ur post...the home remedies suggested there helped for my son..he is fine now

in short

i have given him sinarest two time 0.5 ml

honey mixed with ginger and tulsi juice

milk mixed with pinch of haldi

hot water boiled with 3-4 drops of desi ghee

it all helped and he is fine in 3-4 days
