my son is 3yrs old.he is ok in the house but when ever i take him out to the malls or shopping complex or something like that,he is always running around, never stays put at one place,so we end up running around him instead of shopping, this is very frustrating.if i stop him he will yell & scream resulting in us getting nasty looks from people.i explained to him many times after comming home(bcoz he does not listen to anything i say outside the house) not to do like that & he says ok,but when i take him out again he does the same thing.even taking him out for a walk has become a problem.is there any solution to this problem.i would really appreciate any helpful advice.

I have same problem with my daughter. It started when she was 1 1/2yrs and she is now 2 1/2 yrs old. She runs in all directions and takes in her hands whatever she likes. This starts the moment we come out of the house. Even then we try to take her out once in a day. But she is still like that. If we say 'No' to anything ...that's it she screams and roll on the floor and she is very strong at that time she won't let me hold her. Is your son still like that ? Did you find any solution ??

Well I have the same problem. My two kids aged 5&3 play all kinds of games while I shop-hiding behind garments, going up and down the escalators, screaming amd running. My husband vows each time that he is never taking them shopping again and they come up with apologies but the same is repeated next time. I personally think that shopping is too boring for them and instead of standing like dummies next to us, they engage in some personal fun. Try shopping alone when he is at playschool or leave him with a babysitter. That is what I do nowadays.
