Hi - We are married for 4 years now. I am 29 and my husband is 30 years.
We have been planning for a baby for 3 months. My normal cycle is 26 days. However since last 2 months it has been 28 day and 31 days. So when I thought I might be pregnant and wanted to visit a doc, I am experiencing delayed period.

Anyone has experienced this before and consulted a doc?

Hi! I and my husband are trying for a baby from the past 1 year or so...At first not so seriously, I mean with timing it correctly with ovulation, but now, we have been trying hard. My cycle is a 28 day one, but I do get delayed period by 3-4 days. I think it could also be psychological where I don' t want to see it (It' s almost a phobia sometimes!) and also due to stress...I have learnt to manage my stress and have reduced it greatly. Learn relaxation techniques and keep your mind positive. and keep trying :)

This is why it is suggested that you wait atleast a week or more before starting to wonder if you are pregnant on a delayed period.

You might be stressing a bit which is causing the delay. 26-30 days are normal so I wouldn' t worry about it too much. If you start getting delayed for 35 days or more continuously then consult a specialist.
