Hi.. I have been married for 2.5 years and we are trying for baby for last 6 months with no luck. I get very bad stomach pain during periods and end up taking pain killer. Is it safe to have pain killer while trying to conceive? Janu replied. Hi Aarthy,
I used to get severe stomach ache on my first day of period too. I don' t believe in painkillers and refused to take it even when the pain was too intense. But a simple remedy will stop this pain.

Take 2 beetel leaves and add about 1/2 tsp of sea salt in the middle, fold it and chew like paan. Let the juice mix with the saliva and very gradually swallow it. Keep chewing for atleast 5-7 mins until all the juice is swallowed. The pain will stop immediately within 5-10 mins. If it doesn' t stop completely, repeat the process. I very rarely have to eat it the 2nd time :)
p.s. This numbs the taste buds for a whole day, but who cares when we can be free of pain, and we can avoid taking painkillers! Please let me know if it helps :) sheetal replied. if u know anybody in usa try getting a painkiller tylenol from there..it' s a very safe painkiller and my gynae told me that it can be even taken while pregnancy
