My daughter who is 4yrs old is going to nursery DPS since last 10 days.since last 2/3 days she is crying a lot in the night and does not want to go to school, even in the morning before going to school she vomits and sometimes goes to toilet 2/3 times. Everytime we discuss about school, she cries and says she does not want to go to school ever. after asking a lot she explained that she does not know any thing what is being said in school and she does not have any friends and no body likes to be a friend with her. Even in play time in school, she does not play with others. She was a lively kid and very hyperactive. she also knows everything that is taught in nursery. Suddenly what could have gone wrong. I talked to her teacher, and she says everything will be ok soon. Please reply if any body has faced such problems and what is the best course of action?

I am too facing this problem as I recently got admitted my daughter in 1st class of Butler Memorial School. Earlier also she used to cry wheny we were sending her to a play school but with the passage of time she became used to of that environment. But she showed child-tantrums sometimes. Now, again after her admission in a new school she is finding either it difficult or stranger to the newer environment and cries very much. But I find that the best course is to have patience and tell the child about the good things she will learn in the school and also about the stories of your school days with some fun-filled experiences. Sometimes, a child feel insecure or may be sometimes he/she does not want to leave the comforts of the home especially the cartoon channels. We are also trying to restrict her TV viewing and rather encouraging her for outdoor activities. Besides try to fix a schedule for her studies when there is no TV and no other disturbances. May these tactics help your child in getting adjusted to the new environment.
