Feeding:Texture problem - 1 year old( Need Suggestion)

Hi,
I need some advice/suggestion in putting together food for 1 year old.

My little ones only eats hardly 4 times a day, that too starting from morning , I give her cereal, in the afternoon yogurt and rice and lately I been trying to feed her milk in
between meals. After her nap I feed her with some more rice with veggies which she hardly eats. Evening again ceral , and feed hime with some more milk. For dinner, i
feed her with rice and milk. I want to get some valuable recipes from moms which can add better calories and make the diet more healthy.

Also my little one has texture problem, I grind the food and feed her. But she is having a hard time with rice and dhall, even though I grind the dhall , it gives out a slightly coarse texture which she hates. I would love her to eat dhall rice with veggies and ghee. Let me know if there are any other recipes or alternate food that I can mix with dhall rice to cut down the coarse texture of the dhall. Please feel free to provide me with some other new recipes you follow on a daily basis. I appreciate your suggestion.

Thanks,
Asha

i had the same problems..we need to be creative for these kids..maybe your child does not like the mushed up stuff anymore, maybe wants some more texture...my daughter right now does not like khichdi and dal with rice..so i make dosas, idlies, parathas,cutlets,pancakes..i mix veggies into these things..she loves to eat on her own..maybe your child needs finger foods..try giving her gerber finger foods..i also cook my kids things in amul butter, ghee, whole milk, whole cheese, this adds fat and calories for them..
