Feed your son with ORS. Every time he passes his stool. Since he is been infected you have no problem in giving him antibiotics. But the problem with antibiotics is that you should not discontinue it. Let him take a full course. if discontinued antibiotis has to be changed. Give him natural suplement Vitamain C and B

Hi

Where you from? I assume you are giving these medicines to the baby as prescribed by the doctor.

You can give the antibiotics to the baby as long as it is not a regular practice. Some diseases, esp. viral ones, have to be treated with the antibiotics only.

If you haven't checked with the doctor yet, you better do soon!

As a last note, working woman have to face such problems always with the newborn baby. Make sure you feed your baby with your own breast milk too!

Take care & God Bless

Shankar

RE:Consticipation for 4 years old
This is an old thread but one thing no-one said was that exercise is important for gut motility. All the green veg and pear juice will be limited in their effectiveness if the kid isn't very physically active (just walking more and driving less helps!)
Also, my usual comment - use a child-size glycerin suppository if he's gone for two or more days without doing a do.... - Suzanne [View Message]
