Feeding:Too shy??

Hi All,
Hope the little ones are doing fine. Rhea (1.5 yrs old) is fine too, excepting some occasional bouts of tantrums and crankiness. She is now speaking tho only 1-2 words at a time.I have put her in a playskool where they have lots
of plays and all. the teachers say that she does all the activities BUT is absolutely tightlipped. wont utter a single word. Its not that she doesnot know or understand what is being told.. but she WONT say anything. And she is going there from January 2003, thrice a week. Surprisingly she would repeat those words at home, and sometimes the whole line also! She wont interact much with the kids ( the same age as hers) in the skool, but will spent hours playing with a couple of older kids in the neighborhood ( ofcourse they too simply adore her!) . Again she will not speak
a single word infront of our freinds and relatives whom she has not seen much, but will go on asking about them once they leave!
I thot that she wud overcome her shyness in skool , but isn't 3 months a long time to comeout from the shell?
In the skool the teachers say that they have not heard her speaking ever! But the other kids are quite free and talks a lot ( enuf for 18 month olds ) . Dont know whats going on with her. Any input from anyone will be helpful.
Durba and Rhea (14.10.2001)
