The kind of relation you want can be achieved by being very honest to him. If you always tell him the truth and your true feelings, in odd times he will trust you and support you. If you have some problems with his family, let him know of them before hand and give some good and acceptable reason for the same. So far, I have seen that the most common reason for fights are in-laws, atleast that is the case with me. But I always give him the reasons for a particular opinion or difference abt somebody. Now he knows how I feel about each and every person in his family, so he doesn't force me to behave in some particular way with his family members and it had made life easy. I don't need to mension the importance of intimate hours for a successful relationship or do I. :-). Try to understand his desires and learn to respect it. Take initiatives at times. Try to give him surprises. S replied. Firstly understand your husband. If he is attached to his family, try to get along with his family and even if you have any problems with them, dont bring it to your husband's notice but act as if everything is well. Try not to make any excessive demands on his spending or time. Keep the house warm and clean and the refrigerator stocked. If he is trifty, be the same. Take good care of your kids, be a good hostess to his friends and relatives. In return for all this expect him to give you respect and quality time. Hope this helps.
