hi all!
i am very new to this site,yesterday iteself i registered in this site.

i got married in may 2005 and after 10 months we planed for kids and finally i got conceived i have gone though the tests and all came positive but when my 3rd month is about to complete i went for USG scanning. they told me that there was no heart beat n so they said that it was a missed abortion. n then i had undergone d&c. after that doctor gave me ANTI-D injuction. she she has done the biospsy test also but every thing is normal.
afer 6 months as my periods were delayed i checked checked my self at home by using velocit n it came positive but unfortunately the periods has startd. i think its aslo got aborted.but i dint consulted a docter as my periods were regularised.
am not getting how/why does all these has happened
can u please tell me the reasons for these abortions.
now i got a fear that will this happens next time also. if so iam concieved what prcautions shall i take to overcome this problem.
plz clarify my doubt n tell the precautions.
shall i take total bed rest if i concieve.

you can get prenatal vitamins n folic acid from any pharmacy. you dont need a prescription. just go n ask for it.
if you take prenatal vitamins, then no need to take folic acid seperately as the prenatal tablet will have folic acid included in it anyways.. but if you cant find prenatal vitamins then i suggest you take only folic acid 800mcg each day as its very very important to avoid tubal defects in the growing fetus.
like i said before dont stress yourself. you will surely conceive:-))

There are several reasons that an aboriton happens.
Of all pregnancies that happen ,about 15% go into spontaneous miscarriage.
The most important reason for it is chrosomal defects.
There are several others.
Normally no investigations are advised unless there are 3 mishaps in a row.
You have a good 95% chances of having a healthy subsequent pregnancy.
If you are young there is no reason to be worried at the moment.

i too had a missed abortion few years back. my doctor told me it has nothing to do with what we did wrong or anything like that. Its bcoz of chromosomal or genetical defects which may cause the embryo not to develop. Between to 15-20 percent pregnancies end in miscarriage. its very common so plz do not worry. Having gone thru one miscarriage does not mean you will go thru it again. you can definately have a healthy pregnancy..
if you are trying to conceive then i suggest you start taking folic acid tabs each day and prenatal vitamins too. eat healthy food and stay stress free. i wish you all the best n lots of baby dust:-))
