Problems in School:Preschool or LKG directly?

Hi,I' m a Mom of twins who are 3 years and 2 months now - we went to enroll them to a playschool but then found that they were actually eligible for KG1 !I wuz not sure about it since my kids have not been exposed to any kind of interaction or any kind of pre schooling or anything for that matter. In saudi we have a very closed and quiet enviiornment with very few friends - i have just potty trained them so they are still struggling with that - they have never been away from me or interacted with a group of kids, done any activity, with basic or no knowledge of english!the teachers of KG1 assured me that they will go slow in first term with their writing etc and not to worry mny kids cant even talk around here!but then i found out that by the last term there will be spellings of 3 letter words when they dont know even oral abc properly!! and the next year there will be a new language hindi n so on - i feel it will be a bit too uch for the kids to adjust to - my husband is happy that we wont be losing 1 year and that we will work hard with them and see to it that they finish LKG and cope up in studies.
I feel that we would be trying to rush our kids into adjusting to many things at once and putting pressure on kids to cope up would only make them dislike school psychologically.
please tell me if my fears are futile or do i have a point here.
We r confused coz we dont want them to waste their year when our kids can cope - nor do i want us to push our kids into school and books and MAKE them cope!
can someone advise?
is it worth putting them in a playschool or LKG directly?
please advise.

Hello,
My son is 2 months older to ur kids(he is 3yr 4 months now) . And I have taken admissions for direct LKG.
But in his case he was going to playhome whole of this year and I have taught him nursery syallabus at home.
But I have decided if he is not picking up LKG portion I would nt mind him repeating it one more year .

So ideally as you says ur kids are not exposed to schooling you should put them in Nursery first.
Bcoz in nursery itself the kid is expected to know 1 to 10, A to Z in writing .. Rhymes .. colors etc.

Find out more on LKG portion and check if ur kids can cope up with both Nursery and LKG portion in one yr ...

Mostly in CBSC schools they have the kids enrolled one year early. Find out if your kids will get admission to LKG next year when they will be 4 + years old.Nowadyas parents have to enter the rat race and enroll their kids even if they r too young. This race goes on for life.try to find out other schools where they can get admission at the right age, i.e. next year. With more information you would be in a better position to take the right decision. All the best!

hi, Hamzay
I think for a child to be in lkg is very early and it will put unneccesery pressure on your kids considering they are not ready for the kind of course they have to study.Going to school should be a fun thing for little ones and not a burden. Otherwise they wil get averted to the idea of studies.put them in nursery and let them enjoy their time away from you.A YEAR HERE THERE DOES NOT MATTER, LET THEM ENJOY AND HAVE FUN.And this goes for you too.chill.
gud luck and happy schooling.
