hai, my kid is now 1.4months.
when he was 1.2mnths he had stopped gaining weight.
Hetal from parents of babies board helped me out. and now with her recommendations my son is able to gain good weight.
this is what i got from her ---
please visit the feeding board and check the message id 5857,5730 and 5741.
also visit the post in parents of babies board, feeding board dated 2006-09-12, posted by anu with subject Hi hetal, baby not eating well.

these are the posts that helped me.
believe me it worked magic on my son eating habits and weight.

also,if you want a customized chart for your baby, ask hetal. you might have to wait for her reply, she just delivered a baby so is busy but i strongly recommend you.
she is nutritionist and her suggestions works like magic.i have tried so many online tips and everything but nothing has worked for my son. her tips gave a good healthy weight gain in just 1 month.
believe me its worth waiting for her reply, if you want the best for your kid.

hope this helps.

Dear Ravina,
Have you read the message by someone called Saheli on this forum? She has written a very helpful mail.
Yes, you can stop cerelac. Instead, give him rice, dosa and chapati' s with dal and veggies and nonveg if you eat it.
If your son is not so fond of milk, do not worry. Give him calcium rich food like curd, cheese, paneer, buttermilk. Soya milk is very beneficial but your son should like the taste. Cows milk is sufficient. If he doesn' t like plain milk , try giving him milkshake[blend banana/chikoo/mango] with milk.Or try bournvita or horlicks. He may like the taste. You can also give him kheer, icecream and other sweets made of milk once in a way.
If nothing appeals to him, ask your Dr if you can give him calcium supplements.
Give him apple with the skin on. I agree there are insecticides in all fruits but the benefit of the fibre is too much to consider the side effects of pesticides. Simply washing of fruits is enough I think. If you are very particular, you can wash fruits with potassium permagnate. Have heard it used to be done some time ago.
I have a 2 and half year old son. He too troubles me at times but is eating everything I give him now.
Bye.

Dear Ravina,
U can gradually introduce the food you eat to your child. He/she will like the spice and variety. If you eat spicy food, u can reduce chilli in your food and increase it slowly when your child gets used to it. Or you can take out food for the child before adding chilli. But I would suggest you stop giving baby food. You should also give whole fruit to the child instead of juice as the fibre is very important.
You can continue to give halwa, ragi maybe for Breakfast.
All the best.
