i was to do my IVF last month but during my follicular scan at the 10th day ,we found out we were pregnant,i did have my periods that month but they were very very scanty and thats why we were going ahead with IVF.So doctor telling me that i was pregnant was a complete but pleasant shock for us,after 10 years of trying and 7 IUI' S.I was very happy that it was a natural pregnancy and doctor put me on progestrone supplements.and scheduled me a scan after 2 weeks which happened last monday(it was a scan at 7 weeks of pregnancy),13th august.And during that scan we found out that it was \" unemryonic pregnancy/blighted ovum\" wherein the embryo didnt grow but the gestational sac did.there was no yolk sac seenand Our dreams and happiness shattered there.now i' m waiting for natural miscarriage to happen and if it doesnt happen,on 27th i' ll have another scan and doctor will give me medicines for induced miscarriage.Has anyone had similar experience?I' m so lost that i have no idea what to do.I feel guilty and responsible and gripped with fear.pls help someone. I am so sorry for your loss.I know how hard it is especially after all the years of trying.But please don' t blame yourself.There isn' t anything you could have done to prevent it.Feeling guilty and responsible will only make it harder for you.Try to take good care of yourself and have faith.I am sure you will have a beautiful and happy baby one day.

it was sad to hear abt ur loss....we are going through the same thing. im losing my first pregnancy as well.so wat u r going thru at the moment,i can very well understand.
we had been trying 6 months so the day we came to know,we were on cloud 9. but i guess the happiness wasnt thr to stay for long....and though im not sure if we had a blighted ovum,but yeah,the growth rate was very slow and i started bleeding at the end of 7 weeks where even the gestational sac wasnt visible properly.i have been bleeding/spotting since 17th aug.im not sure if such a thing is a miscarriage happening naturally or not. will be talking to my doc tomorrow and lets see wat she has to say.
its a sad state to be in.but the bright side is that we have conceived once,so we are most likely to conceive again.take care of urself.and try not to take things too hard on urself. perhaps u did the best u had in ur hands...and wat was not in ur hands,u cant do anything lamenting about it.try to take it as a passing phase.its easier said than done....but thats all we have in our hands.
