hello,
i had a question regarding some financial issues in my marriage.
my DH bought a house a few months after our marriage in india(we are married for 6 months now). the registration for the house etc is almost going to be complete. this was held up due to some issues with the project.otherwise ,from our end it was finalised.
My FIL wants to give 40 money towards the house. and remaining 60 will be paid by my DH. now,my question is what happens to the registration? will my FIL demand (rather ,can he demand) that his name should also be on it? this is worrying me. as he already has a house of his own(boight with his own money). so why does he want to give money to my DH(his son).i know my DH will tel me everything and not keep me in dark.but i can' t really trust my FIL. he may give 40 money and demand 100 custody of the house.because they r really going out of their way to help us finalise this house. they r generally not greedy people.have never acted also. but who knows?i really would b ok if they do not give the money. but i' m just worried that there should not be any ' ownership issue' tomoro. i really need to know since we wil be investing our savings and all we are taking loans.
can any one guide me ofthe consequences,in case the house is a joint property(in the name of FIL and DH). can i add my name?
my DH does not have brothers. 2 younger(married) sisters.
currently,i am not working as i am in USA and do not have work permit.
or should i just ask my DH everything frankly

bbb replied. If you are neha from banglore working in leading bank. then dont allow you FIL in ur property because he is a big cheat
