my daughter is 9 months, up to 6 months i BF her exclusively and then i started formula and bottle, initially she refused the bottle but then slowly she was taking it, but now since last 20 days she is not taking bottle at all and depends whole night on BF and wakes up late in morning around 10, so from 6 to 10 approx she is without any feeding because i get up at 6, i tried giving her juice in bottle. during day i give her milk with bowl and spoon. how should i make her drink with bottle. plz suggest something. thanx twinmom replied. sometimes children detest bottles, try sippers of attractive colors and designs. as a final resort i started my twins with spoon feeding(soup spoon). believe me, its fast. at a later stage(15months) i managed to slowly change them to glass feeds. deepa replied. i forget to mention that she is teething, she cut her frist lower tooth one week back, so can this problem with because of teething. gauri replied. ask some1 else to feed her...she will never take bottle from u...she knows if she cries a lot ..u will offer bm...my dauhgter is 11 months..still some times she behaves like this...all of a sudden she will want bm all the time...dont waste more time..or else she wont take bottle at all...

First of all dont worry. Lots of babies do not take bottle. But, I know ur life becomes so easy if baby accepts bottle.
My son was also very reluctant for bottle. Believe me, i had tried all possible brands in the market. Then, what i did, i gave him a pacifier/dummy. He will suck it very nicely. I will let him suck that for say 1-2 min and then quickly insert the bottle. It worked sometimes, and sometimes not. But, I kept trying. When u remove his pacifier and insert the bottle, indulge his mind in something else. ( I used cell-phone ring tones).
I had a tuf time teaching him bottle-feeding. But, finally I won. :)
So, dont worry. Try this out.
