I agree with you....not like adults, babies tummies can hold only a little at time...for a normal baby 15 hours of sleep is necessary in a day,no matter weather it is day or night.so avoid gastrivc problems and increase calories always feed your baby at regular intervals.

it is all our own beliefs i guess. cause when my doc advised this, i adhered to it. My baby is now 8 months, and in fantastic health. I never feed her at night.. when i started offering her water, she never woke up and slept thru the night. It is very healthy to sleep thru the night, as babies grow in their sleep. This is what i have been told by many experienced mothers n gmothers, and doctor. the rest is how we take it. On personal experience, I have not fed my baby every four hours, and she is in good health, not thin, and doing good. thank you.

hi
if you ask me, do not wake up babies at night to bf. even if they wake up then give them just plain water. this is good for their dental health. this is as per my doc's advise. my baby is now 8 months and I bf exclusively for 6 months. she is in good health. thanks.

This is not true for babies who are under a year of age.babies who are at normal weight should not be given water at night because it does not have any calories and babies will lose weight.and they should be fed atleast in the interval of 4hours otherwise they will get gastriv problems as their tummies can hold only little food at a time and they need good calorie and nutrious food such as breast milk or formula.breast milk contains lot of antibiotics and they wont get any dental problems or ear infections even if they are fed at side lying position.

If you ask me 2 times at night is less.because i exclusively breast fed my baby till six months, then she has upto 12 feedings a day, that includes 4 to 5 feedings at night.now she is 9 months old and she feeds upto 3 times at night.
she always sleeps by my side so i just feed her by lying down.so she sleeps better and i too.

RE:Adult breast feeding
I was not breastfeed in my childhood hence the idea of sucking and feeding from a woman's full, engorged breasts has infatuated me. It is a fantasy that drives me wild like nothing else, just the thought of laying my head in a woman's lap while she brings her swollen nipples to my mouth. Ideally, I'd like to finally explore this with the right female. If you are in or near... - Sanjayhyd [View Message]
