Hi,

I am from Singapore.Lately my 3 mnth old son has become fussy abt eating.I am BF him, but he sometimes does not take my breast at all..As soon i take him near for feed he starts screaming and crying.I am very much worried abt him..His weight is 11pounds and fallsunder 10 percentile....

Can anybody pls advise as to what i should do to make him drink more milk..Pls do reply...

Yes I did start to feed him Nestle Rice Cereals from last week...u get it at any Fairprice or Supermarkets..

hi amisha, even i am from singapore... where do u stay? i have a 8 mths old baby. try offering ur breast when he has just slept... my daughter sometimes refused to take my breast, then i used to feed her when she has just slept, not deep sleep, then she will drink. thank you

Thanks for ur reply. My son is too demanding. He doesn't take breast when he is in my lap..He wants to feed only in side-lying position. He'll give me hard time when i take him out. How abt urs..

I have a 5 month old baby. He does the same as ur baby do. Please let me know what ur doc had said abt this. I am giving him solids apart from feeding 3 times. But though i am concerned abt his feeding..

Subject:  Dont worry!



The baby probably has gas or colic. Just try giving him some medicine for gas or try holding the baby on your shoulder. When his stomach is held tight and he doesnt cry that means it is gas. Feed him after that. Try giving him raisin water - boil water with raisin and give. If nothing works then call your doc. Good luck!

According to my gyno, I have some special hormones due to which i can easily lactate and due to that my motherly instincts are extremely high. I was lactating until 1 yr back & I still can induce if i want to breastfeed anyone.
