Feeding:8+ Months Old - Not Sleeping

Hi,
My son is 8+ months now. Since last 15-20 days he is not having a sound sleep. With his eyes closed, he will keep on tossing and turning. At times, I have caught him in ready-to-crawl position also.
He sleeps at about 9:30pm. I give him abt 150ml of milk at that time. Sometimes he will drink full and sometimes he will leave a little. Before this milk, i will give him some solids (Ceralac, khichdi etc).
I have tried giving him milk at night also. But that did not help. Tried giving him water also. He will not take water at all.
I am too much worried. Earlier he used to sleep thru night. Get up at abt 5:30 am only. I dont know what to do. Besides being worried abt my lack of sleep, I am more tensed abt him. Is everything all right with him. I just hope there is nothing serious. I checked with his ped also. He suggested to mix some glucose in his last milk feed. Has anybody heard of this before.
Please help.
Thanks,
MG

Hi:
I am having a similar problem with my 5 months old daughter. Though she still sleeps during the night, but she does not sleep for more than 10 minutes during the whole day. She keeps on tossing and turning her head sideways.
Any suggestions to overcome this problem.
