hi,

my child is 2.5 months old, he is growing well and by god' s grace i am having adequate supply of milk in both my breasts. but the problem is that he only takes one breast, the moment i try giving him the other he cries like anything but doesnt take milk, have tried lots of positions and many things but i m not really worried as evertime manually i have to empty my that breast. please advice..

...my daughter did the same thing...she wud drink from right breast only...atlwast i cudnt do anything... then people scared me that ur one breast will become small n one will become big ...if i dont feed from both the breast equally...
what u can do is feed her only at night or when she goes to sleep...from the breast she doesnt drink..i use to feed her from right ..n the moment she wud go to sleep..i wud feed her from left....

Hi,
My son also did the same thing. Since, u are saying that u have tried lots of positions. Still, sharing with u what i did. He used to take milk from left side. So, I used to start with left and then slide him slowly in that same position only towards right. Now, he is taking milk from right and whole of his body is lying on the pillow lying beside me.
But this continued for some days only (may be 15-20 days) and then he became normal again.
