I have endometriosis problem ,which is 13 mm thick and we are trying for the baby . Few days back I had operative laproscopy and endometrosis was burned . Now my Dr wants me to take 3 injections over the period of three mths costing 4000 each .
My Q is if it is already burned down then is it really necessary to take those injectables. same Q I asked to my Dr. she said it will take care of endometrosis if left behind any. I am worried as it may have hormonal effect on my body.

Dear Annie,
i also had the same problem and undergone 3 operative laparoscopies.after the 3rd one, doctor suggested to take Decapeptyl for 2 months which suppresses the ovary so that endometeriosis wont recur.after 2 months, we went for IVF and succeeded in the first attempt...now am 40 days pregnant and today going for U/S scan...definitely those hormone injections have side effects like weight gain,mood swings etc..but once we get the positive result, everything will be alright both physically and mentally...so dont worry..all the best..

Thank u Annie..5 months after my marraige i was diagnosed endometriosis and the size was abt 6.8 cm, so immediately went for laproscopy..then doctor said that i should get pregnant soon cos endometriosis may recur and she stimulated my ovary.this became a problem for me i.e resulted in hyperstimulation..so i changed the doctor and she found the endometriosis in both ovaries.one more laparoscopy but this time doctor found my tubes blocked.she gave me medicines to remove the blocks as she couldn´ t remove it thro´ laproscopy.took the medicines for 3 months by that time we shifted to bangalore..we went to BACC for further treatment..they started with LPG protocol for IVF but cancelled it due to recurrence of chocolate cyst.again laparoscopy...but this time my tubes r patent.immediately after the lap she gave me decapeptyl for 2 months.then IVF and succeeded in first attempt..y´ day i saw the sac and next week going for one more scan to check the heart beat..dont worry about the hormone injections...take care and wish u all the best.

But can I ask you something , why U had to to undergo 3 operative lapro sopies ? were those only for endometriosis?
