We were planning for IVF in April. Now diagonised for Endometrial tuberculosis...can anyone who had been diagonised for this share experience or more light on this? Effects on IVF..etc.,

Hi! i noticed you' d written this message many years ago, are you still on this forum? How did your TB issue get resolved?

I underwent a hysteroscopy prior to my 2nd IVF attempt, during which my doc did endometrial biopsy and sent the sample to the lab for mycobacterium culture test. It came negative for the 1st week and 2nd week, after which doctor did my embryo transfer.

Now, after 4 weeks, suddenly the sample has turned positive for TB. I' m in shock and don' t know how this will effect my chances of embryo implantation, how the treatment of TB will be, etc etc.

I' m still 1 week away from my pregnancy test, hence very, very worried.

It' ll be great if you can share your inputs with me.

My wife' s both the tubes r blocked bcoz of infection may be tb. Dr. have advised us to complete the tb cycle before u procede for ivf.
