I have moved from Calcutta. My son is 2.5 years and staying in sector 20 panchkula. I have already reviewed the comments for different schools as on date. Can somebody give me the list of nursery schools around sector 20 and explain the strengths and weaknesses about all of them. r replied. My son studying in DEWS-The school,sec 21 Panchkula misha replied. hey bela you can ask your neighbours or your friends regarding this whose kids have been going to nurseries as they will share there experiences too with you. And also you can find more online and can read the reviews about them. Kiaan replied. I reside in Mumbai so cant give you relevant information about the schools in Calcutta. Every school has its own strengths and weaknesses. Till the time you don’t meet a parent from that school you will not get to know about the repo of that school. Bela Ghosh replied. I am the one who had posted this query 3 years back. my son is now almost 6 years and going to Vibgyor in Pune. i enrolled him in Nurtury near sec 20 panchkula, and was overall satisfied with the performance of my child. I visited all the 4 schools , but i doubt anyone of them are operating from illegal people. Nurtuary and Mango grove are in punjab and Kidzee and Mother pride are in haryana. i agree we should stay away from the illegal schools operating.

I have seen all d 4 schools mentioned above, but i doubt anyone of them are operating from illegal plots. Nurtuary and Mango grove fall in punjab and Kidzee and Mother pride in haryana. HUDA makes it mandatory for school plots, howver punjab govt allows the same from residential area as well. Ys i agree v should stay away from the illgl schools operating.

I had gone through your reply in detail...though was a bit confusing, but explained all the pros and cons in length. thanks for taking the pain. After reading about the same, i visited all the schools personally and i agree with you to 90% extent in your observations. On my visit in Kidzee,Support staff was fighting, seemeed rude as a parent.

I had finally settled with Nurtuary. They seemed more professional and strong in their concepts. met few parents of their school. They were happy with their child' s performance. Lets see how long my son will take to settle in the system. hoping for the best. Vishalakshi replied. Hi Bela,

I shifted from Bangalore and am also going through the same stress for my son. I had surveyed the maximum possible good schools in and around Sector 20. Based on my personal visits, I will share the plus and minuses of 4 shortlisted decent schools around the vicinity:
1. Mango Grove
a. Plus
i.Beautiful landscape with large lawn
ii.Less populated – Max 60 in a year
iii.Relatively economical of the four options
b. Minuses
i.No defined & constructive curriculum
ii.Lack of communication skills– more use of hindi words in communication
iii.Lack of professional approach
iv.Smelly rooms – though well ventilated, still couldn’t make out the reason
v.Lack of adequate teaching equipments – no AV room, dance room, aids, toys, using cane seats, etc
vi.No air conditioners
2. The Nurtuary Preschool
a. Plus
i. Structured curriculum
ii. Very professional approach
iii. Good activity corner
iv. They have good understanding about child psychology – quiet updated on latest happenings
v. Good extra-curricular activities- saw event pics, picnics and kids doing yoga
vi. 100% power back up from generator set
vii. Well maintained from within
viii. Toilets were absolutely clean- hats off to them
b. Minus
i. Double story building –though they have gates on stairs
ii. Play area opposite the road
iii. Building small in size from exterior – however have complete infrastructure within
iv. No use of playful colours within the building – though they have their own logic
3. Mother’s Pride-Dews
a. Plus:
i. Great building – Huge in size - good from within
ii. Strong brand name
iii. A big play room on the ground floor is wow
iv. Use of lovely colours within the building
v. Good lawn attached to the building with swings
vi. Location- in heart of sector 21
b. Minus
i. Bargain/discounts on fee structure – to get the admission how can you start negotiating on fee
ii. Swings in the classroom not acceptable, how can a child concentrate with swings around
iii. Curriculum was not explained
iv. Mainly focusing on AV classroom – smart classroom studying
v. Team was not that smart enough to handle my queries. No clear replies to my queries.
4. Kidzee
a. Plus
i. Strong Brand name
ii. Good activity area
iii. Curriculum is from Kidzee but the school team could not explain the queries related to curriculum in detail. What a waste
iv. Beautiful from within – HUGE– doesn’t seem to be a playschool building
b. Minus
i. Location – across the highway
ii. Understanding of child psychology – what a joke.
iii. Lack of training to the team members.
iv. Owners are some real estate guys, can understand from school set up and mindset of team.
v. Most expensive of the four

Aditi replied. Hi Bela, I would recommend Eurokids. Ive hd a gud experience. Now my daughter is in the 1st standard but she had a lovely time and misses her old school. Everything is good...curriculum and faculty. Would suggest that you see their website to know more. Supriya replied. Hi Bela. My son is 3 years old. He goes to Aadyant Global School in Vasant Kunj. It is a good school for kids. He is in primary school now. They have a lot of facilities for students. I think you can check it on their website.
