Hi friends

Need ur help ..my 2month old girl is having constipation for 6 days straight ..i dont know what to do...she has been passing alot of gas too..
i am really concerned.I have tried karo syrup but its not working...pls help

My baby used to pass motion once a week. In breast fed babies, it is a common thing. you do not have to be worried abt 6 days if the baby is taking only breast milk. milk is 86% water and there is nothing much to pass as motion. you have to make sure that the baby passes enough urine. you can assess the intake looking at the urine the baby passes. thats all you need.

Chaitra,
At 2 months my little one used to be conspitated too .. my ped suggested to give her prune juice (1 oz juice, dilute it with 1/2 water) every alternate days. It really worked for us, check with ur ped if u can start giving that to you little one.

boil ajwain and jagerry with water ,itsp ajwain 2tsp gaggery and one small cup water .boil till it reduces to 1/4 strain it and give to baby half tea spoon only at a time twice a day
