hi - My 5.5mnth old had constipation so the doc advised me to give him vegs like carrot potato-raagi n cerelac wheat. Now the constipation prob seems to have been solved but hes passing motion arnd 6-7 times a day bt in small quantities. the potty is semi solid n at times watery...wht diet shd I give him now? since whtever i was giving him till now will only make his motions loose.Also if i start giving him apple, banana, riuce cereal - shd i comnpletely stop the other stuff (raagi n vegs)? pls help - confused mom megha replied. can' t be of much help. but yes when my son was 6 mth he had the same prb. he was constipated. and i think for 2 days he kept on passing stools little by little. then it was normal. may be it takes a while to empty their bowels ocne they r constipated. but better check with ur doc if things hvn' t improved.
