Hi
My daughter is 28 months old and never want to eat anything. I have tried all the methods to enhance her interest in food, but i failed. The problem is that I am working and can't be there with her all the time.I could have managed, but her resistance is very low and she gets ill every other day.
pl help.

I am also a working mother and am facing the same issue with my 27 month daughter. But i have tried a few things which have worked well
1. Be innovative - Do not serve the same food 3 times a day or every day at the same time. Provide different meals.
2. Provide snacks - If your kid loves snacking, provide nutritious food as snacks. Carrot and bean fry, Egg pudding, Boiled egg, Bread and cheese toast, etc (this has worked for my kid)
3. Keep wide meal times - If your child does not love snacking, or it snacking is less and because of snacking she does not even take meals properly, cut down on snacking and allow her stomach to be empty fopr sometime. Though it may seem harsh to some, it actually is helpful at times.
4. Choose her fav cartoon or CD and let it play. You may also take her to the terrace and feed her.
There are similar tips and I have tried them with my kid. Though you may not get consistent results, but you will get atleats 50-60% improvement.

Hi
Don't worry it will be alright after she turn to three. U give her the homeopathic medicine for digestion, so that she will get hungry and will eat easily.

best wishes, meenakshi

my son has just completed 3 years and we have been facing exactly teh same problem for the past 2 years....i am an IT proffessional and work extended hours...his frequent illness (due to low resistance) and refusal to eat food of any type have been major worrying factors..we finally attributed it to the fact that we r unable to devote time to him...\";quality time\"; doesnt really make sense. so i have quit from my job and would be at home soon to attend to him full time...why don't you also try that? it may be worth it.

Adding to what I said earlier, Please do not worry. When we worry, the kids feel it and they start behacving so even more.
Just take it light. I read somewhere that cornflakes are good breakfast items for kids. Since my daughter troubled me a lot at bfast, i gacve her cornflakes. You know what, she readily eats it and also fights with me to eat it on her own!!!
Just be cool.
