i've been ttc for 5 yrs.there seems to be no problem with me as per HSG and other tests,my periods are very regular.i've got IUI done twice which failed.now my doctor wants to do a diagnostic laproscopy?should i get it done?is it necessary when HSG and other tests are normal?my husband has a varicocele and there was low sperm count but after medications,his count has improved too to 40m/ml.this iui his post wash was 15m/ml and 98%motility but it still failed.I JUST WANT TO KNOOW IF I SHOULD GET LAPROSCOPY DONE OR CONTINUE WITH IUI? and how many IUI should i try before decidind for IVF? thx. rene replied. for me , i was advised to do laproscopy first (after 2 failed IUI)then aging IUI for 3 times .though luck did not favour me . But i have heard tht after laproscopy 50% patient get success.May be u will be one of them ! so best of luck .
As for IUI ,at least u shd. try IUI for 5 times before going for IVF.
