Name: dimpy Verma

Hi,

My son just turned 5 & we took him for annual check up. He just gained 1 pound in last 1 year(from his 4 yr check up).

He comes in lower 5% that means only 5 % of his age kids has this mucch weight.

This really concerns me. We are vegetarian so at home he eats mostly vegetarian food but in school he eats non veg. He is really slow eater. I don't know what to do to increase his weight.

Please advice.

Thanks
Dimpy

First of all pl don't think that due to vegetarian food ur child is not gaining weight... vegetarianism is the best option always.... try to give him 4-5 times in a day.. things like banana with milk, cheese, and other things,... and if health wise he is good then don't worry only due to less weight.... he should be active and fit... that's more than enough....

RE:Consticipation for 4 years old
This is an old thread but one thing no-one said was that exercise is important for gut motility. All the green veg and pear juice will be limited in their effectiveness if the kid isn't very physically active (just walking more and driving less helps!)
Also, my usual comment - use a child-size glycerin suppository if he's gone for two or more days without doing a do.... - Suzanne [View Message]
