Hey Hetal and all my friend out there,

I need an advice, my baby is almost an year old.. I have started giving her roti 15 days back, she prefer eating paratha over rice, from the begining she is not a big fan og rice...my question is...is it okay to give her paratha 2 times a day, she won' t eat much but still...?
I give her water inbetween 3-4 morsels so that she does not get constupated.
Please let me know ur view on that.
Thanks!

I think giving paratha twice a day definitely cause a constipation. Why don' t you try out rice (mashed )with dal/some other curries and also easy to chew.At this age ,it also difficult for the babies to chew harder food.If she doesn' t like rice then it' s fine to give her but still better to avoid wheat and try out some rice stuff like dosa, idli, uttapam etc which also easy to digest.

Best Of Luck!
SK.

Hi,

I sometimes think too much wheat causes constipation - I face that with my son who' s two years old . He loves chapatis for snacks, or with dal/sambar but we found whenever he had two of them in a day he' s constipated next day. So we tried giving him dosa or rice pancakes and he likes that too .

Best of luck
Minka
