Hi Hetal

Nice to see you back on the board. It was really quiet without your presence.

You are doing a wonderful job which is done by people rarely. Sad to know all of you were sick and wishing you all speedy recovery.

Coming to my situation with my 21 month old baby, (ref ecoli, too many antibiotics etc), my baby is still the same. I dont understnad what is her problem at all. Since we came from India, she was fine was 3 weeks, had food and even put on 1 kg weight.

Since then she has had cough, cough, cough, Which totally stopped her from eating. now since 10 days, she is again suffering from cold and a lot of flum cough. The problem is, if she is sick she refuses to have anything. Her weight has again come down to 7.5 kgs. So all my effort went to a waste. My inlaws have come to stay with me and they only give her rasam and curd rice for meal. As i am working, i do not like to come in conflict with them. But even this, she doesnt have at all.

Since 3 days again, she has started vomitting like before. when feeding, she doesn like Uaaaak and then everything comes out. Have you heard of any children doing like this in your experience.I am giving her domstal (domperdine suspension) before giving food but she doesnt want to eat atal. what to do?

There is no one day i dont cry. All my friends children are quite healthy and eat a lot for their age. But my baby doesnt eat the basic food. I am not even sure what to give her. We did all tests.Should i ask my doctor to do the allergy test again for milk as we didnt do one after we started her on normal milk. doctor says there is no need because she has no loose stools and she is active.

Even if i dont feed her for a whole day, she will never ask me for food.

If possible, can you let me know what to do, what to feed her, how to feed her and any suggestions please would be really helpful

I think the worst decision in my life is to join a job which has spoiled my baby and her immunity. butnot good to cry over split milk. should think and move forward.

regarding the cough and cold, she had gur gur in chest but doctor says its viral and it should go on its own. But she has this cough since 2 months. dont know what to do?

sorry to discturb when ur children are not well but thought i will pen down something to remove the stress in me.

Probably Hetal will give you a proper reply on how to go ahead, meanwhile I wanted to console you. I am also working and my son is also 20 months old. I leave him with my maid whole day ( 7 to 7). It is really dispressing when they fall sick and do not eat. We find ourselves guilty for leaving them with someone else. I hope your baby is under medication for cough and cold. When my son used to catch cold and get that ' gur gur' sound from the chest, I used to warm cotton cloth on a tawa and keep it on his chest and back and warm it. DONT OVER HEAT AND BE CAREFUL NOT TO BURN. I used to check the temperature of the cotton cloth ball by first keeping it on my cheek and then on him. It used to help, but definitely with medication.
And I used to apply ' Vicks vaporub mixed with baby' s cream on the chest and back to get relief..
Hope this helps you. But as far as baby' s health is concerned, hygiene is the most important. Make sure that whoever comes home from outside washes their hands thoroughly before touching the baby. and be a bit more careful when you take your baby out- dont allow them to touch the areas like table tops, handrails etc.. where many people would have touched..
Take care
