hi all,
i' ve been married for 3 yrs and have a 1 yr old baby. mine is an arranged marriage. i always wanted to live in a joint family. at my father' s house we stayed together - 15 people in one house. here we stay 5 of us. my problem is tht my husband does not get along with his parents. sometimes he does not even speak to them for days. he separated from the family business and started his own business last year. my FIL did the funding for it. but he does not think it is important to report his progress to them. the business is new and he has very high expectation of himself. so he' s not achiving his targets. i think he' s unhappy ' coz of tht. but now he' s started taking all tht out on me. i am a working architect. he keeps on complainign tht i dont spend enough time at home. though i do a fair share of the house-hold duties. he does not help me in any way at home. nor does he bear any financial responsibility.
i want your opinion. i have talked the matter with my in laws and they have no problem with it. i feel tht i and my husband should shift into our out-house. and start on our own. that way he will be a more responsible person. but i dont know if it is right. it' ll mean making a lot of adjustments on my part, but i' m ready for it.
can u pls tell me if i' m right?
