my baby is seven months now and is not eating solids.if i try and give him he eats vey little and then closes his lips tightly.i try to shift his concentration but he is reluctant to eat.he has formula almost all the time.i am worried if he will ever eat solids.how should i manage and give him food?please help me i am very worried as he is low in weight also.he is not at all interested in solids.he drinks 5-6 oz formula 6-7 times a day. varuna replied. my 2nd son has just passed his first year.
generally,kids less than one year normally prefers plain tastes,with less sugar and salt.till they pass their first year it is advisable to give them semi-solid foods rater than solid ones.
over cooked rice blended with msshed dal and ghee is one option.
another option is giving then a porridge made of banana.in the market it is availabe in the mname of banatone/baby vita.
u can follow the directions in the packet,make it a semi solid consistency with milk and try to feed with baby spoon:or if the baby is bottle friendly.another easiest way to feed them is to put the semi solid food in the bottle and give them,(by makeing bigger hole in the nipple with a scissor and dont forget to sterilise it before use.)
for babies who passed their 5th month we can give cerelac twice a day.

varuna mom replied. my son is 10 month old and i am having same problem. he tight his lips and turn his face away. I tried everything but nothing help. Any suggestion. He also drink milk every 3-4hours but he doesnt eat solid. I have decided to stoptrying for a week n give him some time..also am planning to try something different. dnt know if u have already tried out these two things may b they help. all the best.
