Trying since long:Hi archie - pls reply to my doubts on hsg result

Hi Archie,

I had HSG Test done last month. i have a doubt in my HSG result...The dr said that i have no blocks in my tube and is absolutely normal. But it was mentioned in the report that the \";Distal end of right tube is dilated\";...
When i took the reports to my Gyn, she said that the right tube is functionally ok but not physically. She meant that the Rt tube does not have the ability to push the Egg/Fertilised embryo to the Uterus. Also she added that this could lead to Tubal Pregnancy often. She said therez no cure for this.

My worry is in all these 4 to 5 cycles which i repsonded for fertility tablets, only my right Ovary responded and only once the left also responded. So in this Scenario, i am scared as to wht will happen...

Have anyone of u come across such a situation??? Is there a way that only my left ovary be stimulated for ovulation??? Am not clear. Pls clarify if any of u know abt this????

This cycle we are going for IUI.

Vidhu,
I totally understand your concern.
There is 50% possibility that you will have left ovary stimulated.

There is nothing that will help to boost ovulation through a specific ovary.

Unfortunately we don't know if the right tube had this problem from the beginning as you did not do hsg before treatments.

I wondered do you face any symptoms besides ovulation. I mean fever, nausea, fatigue, pelvic pain, etc. If you say yes to any of these symptoms then you must talk to your Dr. and evaluate possibility of PID.

will hold my conversation until then.

Vidhu,
PID is pelvic inflamattory disease. because you have not had HSG before treatment tough to say what caused or it's there from long time.

If required IVF may be the option but there is 50% chance that you will have left ovary stimulated in some cycle.

hi archie,

thanks for your speedy reply. I dont have any of the symptoms that u have mentioned besides ovulation. Wht is meant by PID???

Also u had mentioned if i had this problem before the treatment...Does this mean infertility treatment can cause such problems???

Also in 90% of my cycles, only my right has ovulated...So given this scenario, am i left with only IVF option. Pls clarify. Am confused a lot...

Sorry for bugging u with questions.

Need Egg Donor for IVF
Hi Everyone,

We have been married for the last 12 years. We are trying for a baby but unfortunately every time it's disappointing. I had 3 abortion, 2 Ectopic pregnancy, 1 IUI failure and 2 IVF failures. I had septum in the uterus and got removed. Since I had a history of ectopic pregnancies, both my fallopian tubes are tied. Due to the poor ovarian reserve ... - Malini [View Message]
