Hi, I need some valuable suggessions from u.

Basically I speak good english and fluent at our accent. When it comes to foreign accent, I cant understand even one word when american females speak. Words simply go thru my ears but even single word doesnt touch my ear?!! :!

We live in USA and I hold my PG in computer science. I worked in India but now am afraid of faCing interviews. Since past 10months , listening to News...I swear, cant understand anything when females speak?! Is it common problem ? Or unique ??
Pl advise me something to make me confident to attend interviews!I cant even understand bottom line when they speak? Is it possible to become ggod presenter in their accent?
I have good proffessional skills and because of this problem ,I' m unable to post my resume even .

I live in their community , still I couldnt make any friends here.
I have to join my girl in pre-school and have to talk to teachers. How can I make all these possible ? Its not because of my fear. Really problem is there for me. I sit relaxed and try to hear news , but I fail... I see programs with male anchors only?!
Solve my problem, please!DOnt interpret my problem only relate to female accent only. Its just because they tend to talk fast. So ,unable to catch faster accent even if males speak .

Yes, I found enabling subtitles make me identify pronounciation .Anyways , I' m unable to follow up with them immediately. I dont like being like this always and dont want to lift my bow to let them slow down....Its happening already ,So I want an improvement in my situation .Still advices r welcome!

chi replied. Some of them speak with their nose...and the way they pronounce certain words is different...for Eg, N...En...they would in!
Take it step by step..ask your hubby to help you...maybe he can explain some little conversations that females speak over tv...initially...then you can try to identify some words!
Enable the subtitles too on your tv...and try to identify the words that you can recognize it next time or so.
Srey replied. You' re unique. A lot of Whites over here are actually pretty understandable. Remember there is no harm in telling them to slow down. All you have to do is give them that \" look\" they' ll get the hint that you don' t understand, So, they' ll rephrase it or speak slowly. hello replied. hi dear friend

you know, it will take some time to get easy with western accent.
for me also i can' t understand a thing first. now after 1 1/2 years i can understand pretty much everything. and i am sure you also will. for some it will take sometime. don' t worry. even my friends say they also felt the same. in jobs also first it was very difficult to follow up. but it will be ok. first thing is, if you really want to improve you have to listen to news english movies, talk to american woman when get chance. don' t be afrais and concious about others. you just go along your pace and soon ,before you know you will understand their accent more than ours. it is very smooth and understandable . so take it easy . don' t worry. don' t pressure yourself. you will .
