Hi All,

My son is not eating rice.He is crying to eat rice but having biscuits,cookies and sweets all the time and milk.
He is 20 months old now and not even catching his bottle while having milk.
How to stop bottle feeding can any one please give me any suggestions.
Also can any one please suggest me about food also he is very thin and 19 pounds wt.

lav SPS replied. Ya its not a good idea to give bottle to a 20 month old,Doctors suggest to make the baby leave bottle after 18 months. Initially try giving him sipper cup and then shift to normal cup. My baby is 12 months old and he likes mung daal khichadi, curd, cheese, paneer, vegetables. My ped suggested to make him sit with us when we have food so that he will learn to eat and develop our taste.

I am a mother of 19months old baby. And my son don' t drink milk at all. He knows bottle for drinking water only. He don' t like anything except water as liquid. No juices and no milk. I started him with a small katori and diya(Paladi in Tamil) its a small diya type thing and we can boil the katori and diya together and can feed them.

Take the baby in your lap and the way you hold him while feeding him with bottle you need to hold him the same way. Then try to pour a little amount of milk and let the baby drink that and then gradually he will learn how to drink without the bottle.

Some times the kids are bored of same kind of milk so you can add verieties like honey, banana, chiku, fresh straberry, and junior horlicks(normal). And some times chocolate. I don' t prefer any chocolate as they get use to of chocolate and later it becames a bid problem.
