Well i have tried allopathic meds for my PCOS. And right now i am on a break from meds not from ttc.. however not knowing when or if i ovulate or not, makes it a little more stressful. But i plan to try alternative meds. Can anybody give me any insights on homeopathy or ayurvedic meds for ttc??

Ayurveda does work for soem people. But it ddin't help me stop the continuos bleeding. I've been bleeding since 45 days now and it's not yet stopped. This time Prometrium also didn't help. My doc asked me to start taking BCP.

If you have energy and time, you can try ayurveda. Since I'm in the US, it's very impractical to get the meds on time and also consulting the docs over the phone is not that great.

Try finding a good ayur doc and ask them whether they do uttaravasti(cleanising the iterus with herbal oils) and check your blood test very often during that alternative treatment. It'd be good to find a Ob/gyn who agrees to go hand in hand wiht ayur docs, But it's so hard to find one.

Ramya..based on first whether you want to treat for PCO or want to conceive..decide to go to ayur or homeo..since they take lot of time to show results..I have tried both for 1+ yr each..drawbck is when in case of PCO there is heavy bleeding..they cannot do anything immediately..I am in bangalore and approached well knowns in both fields..but in case of emergency like heavy bleeding..they again suggested allopathic harmone treatments.. nammu replied. sdsa Ramya replied. Ayurvedic is very gd prvided u have patience to try. It takes long like 6 months or may be an year. If you are young and have energy to cope up with the time then it is good. Otherwise allopathy is good. The reason being it is fast and you see the progress.
There are methods to check whether you have ovulated or not. BBT is one of them. If you are in your mid twenties then i recomend Ayurvedic otherwise look for a good doctor. I know many of the allopathy doctors do try out many things and mess it up.
