I am married with one child ,
my husband is only son in his family, no FIL he has got one sister
my MIL is having properties on her name, because my FIL purchased on her name.
but my MIL says because the properties is on her name it will go to her daughter
no share will come to my husband. but my husband has taaken lot of resposiblities
to my sisterinlaws studies her marriage etc.. we had lot of loans but now we repaid
everything.my sisterinlaw is well off , I feel my MIL is cheating her son by giving all the
property to her daughter.

can anybody advice what is legal in this scenario

My husband takes all the responsibiliy but my MIL only expects things from son, as per her.. all her property goes to her daughter.no equal share etc.. she did not earn at all as she is a house wife.
I feel they are all ditching my husband.. by gods grace we are earning..and we also purchased one house. I dont have any expectations from them. But I feel very sad because she changes all the things as per her convinience. no principals to her.
I dont want her to write property on my husband I am just seeing her attitude.. I feel very low.. because I am in such a family.. and sometimes she uses very bad words(gaaliya ) to me .I am so much depressed.. I dont know where I am heading to.. ss replied. hi malini
niyathi is right if ur mil doesn' t make a will then it will be equally divided among both of them i know this because when my mom died all of us (my bro and sis) had an equal share of all the property but we sisters decided to give everything to my brother as he has to bear all the responsibility my point is may be ur sil will do the same
bye ss niyathi replied. if your MIL makes a ' will' a leagal document that the property should go to your sil after her death, then i guess u' ll cant do much,, but if there will no legal document or ' will' made then definitely the property has to be shared between the bro n sis since its ur fils property and even ur mil actually speaking has no right since she did not earn that..
i m not a lawyer but i do know about property dealings etc... just go and check with any lawyer once whether it will affect if your mil makes a will , the lawyer will just charge u 200-300 Rs.

niyathi is right if ur mil doesn' t make a will then it will be equally divided among both of them i know this because when my mom died all of us (my bro and sis) had an equal share of all the property but we sisters decided to give everything to my brother as he has to bear all the responsibility my point is may be ur sil will do the same
