Hello,

In february we are planning a trip to India. My Daughter will be 6 months old. I have couple of question.

1. Has anybody traveled from India to US or from US to india?

2. What kinds of problem have u faced?

2. Will she have a jetlag problem?
3. What kind of seat I should book for her?
4. She is used to her bouncer, should we take that? Or do you get a bouncer in india? for how much?
5. do they have disposible diapers and formula? (I will take mine but in case if we need to)

Please let me know.

Ankita

I had been to India in Dec.
You should not book any seat for her. What you should request is a bulkhead seat and a bassinet for the baby all the way through.I travelled on Northwest KLm and they were pretty good in giving bassinets. You might take her bouncy is you thisnk it is absolutely necessary. She will suffer from jet lag for a week. You get huggies in India but I recommend take your own supply of diapers, formula(if not breastfeeding),solids and cereal whatever she eats.
Carry stock of medicine for cold, fever etc.Try carrying an insect repellant recommended by your doctor.Always use mosquito netting when baby is sleep. If you have aquaguard installed in India,it is great,Otherwies always boil the water that you give her.Do not expose her a lot to the heat.I am not sure which part of the country you are going to,but carry lot of sleepers and socks. When clothes are washed sterlize them with Dettol.I did not follow all these but I carried my own supplies and boiled the water. She got some heat rashes. Also Carry sufficuent wipes and diapers as you will need them if she cathces stomach flu.
