How are you doing?
Just wanted to share this happy news you all.
I am Pregnant!....:)
Just today morg i got a +ve result,haven't told
anyone yet.U guys r the 1st to know...Planning
to tell parents and inlaws after the ultrasound.
tried calling the Dr for appt,she said to come
only in the 8th week,So what should i do now?
What shd be my daily routine...?I have nausea...

Congratulations, really very happy for you.

Do get your blood test checked for beta hcg(1st test). Repeat the blood test(2nd test) after 4 days to check whether the beta hcg numbers are rising. Then again repeat the blood test after a week to confirm whether the beta hcg numbers are rising properly. Then in 8th week u can go for u/s.

I had appt with my GP,She did the
urine test it was -ve,later she took my blood for testing iam expecting the results in couple of days...:(

Congrats!!! I don't think u remember me...I was also on the TTC board. Now I am expecting a baby in Dec2006. I am so happy for u. Will keep u in my prayers. So will see u now on the June2007 board:)

Just relax. Try to eat smaller meals 4-5 times a day. Have some crackers for nausea. Here in US the docs see u only when u r 8 weeks. So call up and fix an appointment.

Very happy to see that smiling face! Take rest, drink lots of water, try to be as relaxed as possible. Eat plenty of fruits & preferably home cooked foods.. Don't bend forward, don't lift heavy things, avoid stuff that makes you nauseaous. and just sit back and enjoy the joyride!!

- Sunshine annie replied. hey SP, congrats on the gr8 news. some hv morningsickness till 3 or 4 mts. as others hv said, never go hungry. drink plenty of fluids. eat fresh fruits. avoid the foods mentioned by meena. most important of all, relax & enjoy your pregnancy. congrats once again. I luckily did not have much morning sickness when I was expecting my son. But people have told me you should never go hungry. As soon as you get up, have a cracker or marie biscuit. Eat whatever you feel like. After morning sickness subsides, you can start having healthy food. Just avoid papaya, pineapple, chinese food with Ajinomoto, maggi and uncooked food in restaurants. Have lots of water and fruits. They keep constipation at bay. I used to have 4 almonds everyday, soaked overnight and peeled. If you are a non-vegetarian, fish is excellent for the development of the baby's brain. Also start taking folic acid regularly.

yes , here in Us ...docs see u only after 8th week and it is a good idea to wait till u see your doc before telling ur parents .... just maybe ask ur doc if they can do a HCG level check to make sure things are ok ....

and as far as what to do for now ... do nothing ...just chill , try not to stress urself too much ... also be careful with what u eat ... try home cooked food as much as possible, avoid caffeine as much as possible and be sure to continue on your prenatals ....

if u have nausea ..try to avoid food which make u nauseous , in my cASE, IT was milk , banana ... try to have something to eat in constant intervals ..have some marie biscuits or a light snack by your bedside ... and be sure that u have enough fluids ... dont worry if u have too much nausea ... the baby is just fine , getting all the nutrients from the prenatals u r having ....
