How are you going? You won't remember me, but I have been an active member of the March 2005 board. How is your son going? Hope all is well.

Archie, can you please shed some light on my situation. This is my second month of trying to conceieve my third child. I am using an ovulation prediction kit, and on both cycles detected the LH surge on Day 15, so I assume ovulation was around day 16. My average cycle length is 27 days. This would suggest a luteal phase of 11 days. However, on both cycles, I noticed a slight brownish discharge on and off from day 24 to day 27, followed by my period on day 28 (or Day 1). The discharge is similar to what I'd normally experience right at the end of my period (like, Day 5 or 6). It is accompanied by cramping.

I have never experienced this before, only on the two months of trying to conceive. Can this new discharge be something to do with my attempts to conceive? If it is early onset of my period, that would suggest that my luteal phase is in fact only around 8 days, which I know would be affecting my fertlity.

I would appreciate your thoughts on the discharge and luteal phase.

I conceived both my son and my daughter on the first month of trying, so I am a bit anxious this time around.

your LP sounds like 12 days and might be discharge has to do with stress and you ttc.

Do not use OKP, just try to intercourse from CD12 to CD15 and rest well onward. Do not do heavy work, do not lift your little babies.
