Hi dear,

just wanted to let u know that I got my periods this morning. The first clomid dose I think made me ovulate atleast. I was on my luteal phase for 10 days, is that ok. And got my periods today on CD 34, is that alright when on clomid too. I have taken my gynacs appt for checkup during periods for cysts.
Iam not sure whether clomid helped me ovulate or was it my natural way. But, iam happy that i ovulated and got my periods. So, again i'll start with my 2nd clomid dose this month too. Hope it clicks this time. Last month when on clomid, we had coitus only around ovulation days Cd 16- Cd 20. Is it necessary to keep trying every alternate day when on clomid after 5 days of clomid course.
Anyway, Just pray thongs click the 2nd time.

10 days of luteal is not long enough to support pregnancy. However, ovulation was not stronlgy supported by ultrasound or hormonal measurements and it was suspected based on physiological changes and temperature shifts. I do not say you did not ovulate but if you did ovulate on 23-24th day then following interepretations are likely:
1. Clomid may have played a very little role if any.
2. 10-11 days is not a long luteal phase and if ovulation is tracked by blood or sonography in future cycle and LP is short then progesterone supplement is a good idea to support pregnancy if you conceive.

3. If clomid works then ovulation takes place between 14 to 16th day of cycle and intercourse must start before CD14 to be able to make sure you don't miss it. One can have it until CD16 or CD20 that's individual choice. Also to have everyother day from the end of clomid input is your choice, may be your Dr. should advise on this.
