Hetal, I wanted to ask u about the fibre intake for 19 months old?
My daughter's BW is 7.60 pound and right now she is 22 pound.
I have seen in some of ur posts that we should put fiber in each meal of our kids.
But sometimes its difficlut for me to do so.. like my dd likes plain daal-chaval so
i dont add veggies for a change ...she likes dudh,roti as well so dishes like this dont have any veggies..
I try to give her fruits for her snacks ..but she is very moody ..she used to like grapes alot ..but now she dont even look at it :(
I tried many ways like:
1]mixed 2-3 variety of fruits together.
2]sprinkkle some sugar on fruits
3]diff variety
but its not guranteed that she will have her fruits regulary...
she is in day care and i provide all food for her like BF, lunch and snacks.
I tried some vegg soups like:
1]Spinach soup, boiled spinach ,puree it and water, some jeera poder, sugar, salt.
but she didn't like it..somehow i forced her to drink but still no use :(
is excess of spinach( as it contains iron) cause constipation??
2] mix veg soup, carrots+beans..follwed same recipe as spinach soup.
my dd usually has 2-3 poops in day but last weekend she didn't pass poop for 2 days and after that
it was very hard and in small qty ...
she was active but not willing to eat any thing :(
Can you give me some tips for balancing her fibre intake??
I give her water ..started with straw cup since 2 months so she drinks around 5-6 oz in a day..
With bottle she was drinking well like 8-10 oz in a day.
How much water she should drink in a day??
I also tried prune-apple juice ..but giving it on daily basis is ok??
instead how to make her dishes tastes diff/tastey even with veggies :))
can u give some good combination of veggies??Like:
1 .spinach alone
2.carrots and beans
3 tomatoes with zuchhini?
why i am asking is if we mix all veggies then final taste will be same :(
also u said we should offer one vit c with iron..
Is it ok if we add milk to iron based stuff like milk in spinach soup??
i am just thinking about variety but not sure about the combo :(
I use Jasmin rice for her ..as it has starch so she will gain more wt :)
is it ok or does it cause constipation too??
Please advice me ...
