Feeding:Spice in food

My baby is 14 months .. and I have not yet introduced spicy or chilli food.. The food I give her is bland with salt or jeera..

I feel she is loosing interest to eat food because of no taste.. I would like to introduce spice in her food , I tried to introduce spice , but she refuses to eat. please advise how I should go about it.

you can try offering the vegetables you make by diluting some extra water or making it mild spicy and then you can offer.
for dals my mom used to give my sisters kid, diluted with more water or more dal(just the boiled dal mixed with our dal). they used to eat that. they eat eveything now at 22months.

i agree with maya, a little sprinkle of spices and for making it hot, you can add black pepper. itz safe to give above 9months, i am giving it to my baby.
in one of hetals post also it was mentioned that you can add chilli pwder that is made from red bell pepper. i forgot the name of that powder.and in one post she said that if your baby is ready for family foods, start offering it and stop making separate food.
itz safe to give as far as you are not overdoing it or your baby is not having any reflux problems.
