Problems in School:Frustated with Blore Schools !

Name: Angry Parent

Hi,
I am trying to find a school for my son in Blore. He is oct born. I am so frustated at the school rules.
One school says age criteria is 2'6\"; to 3 years for Montesorri I.
Second school says 2'3\"; to 2'9\"; for MontI
Third School says 2'8\"; to 3'2\"; for Mont I
Similarly .. every school says their own age criteria. If they take kids born in these 6 months only .. what should kids born in other 6 months do ??
If a kid of 2'3\"; joins Mont I it means it is just 5'3\"; in 1st std, Is the kid not too small to be in 1st std ?
Do these schools come under some rules of Karnataka Govt or they all have their own rules ??
I am totally frustated and angry with these schools ... I hope someone sues them !!!

I am suprised with what you have mentioned about NPS. am one of those who have submitted the application forms. I am sure the lady told me \" 2.5 - 3\" is the age limit for M1.

Actually One month back when we went there and enquired NPS told us Kid should be 3+ for M1. On the day of Application form distribution the Lady said 2'8" to 3'2" . I am not sure why are they saying diff thing for diff ppl.
Anyway in either case he is not eligible for M1. So we applied for LKG.
Can you Pls tell me whats the next procedure ? Are they calling parents of shortlisted kids or will they put up some list in school ?
Pls let me know the procedure.

Also I am wondering if for M1 they take kids between 2'6" to 3' and Lkg Kids with 4+, that means kids completing LKG, UKG will be between 6 and 7 in 1st Std and Kids completing M1/M2 and M3 will be 5'6" to 6' in 1st std. So kids in the same class will compete with kids almost a year older to them !! What kind of system is this ??

-Thanks

Yes tried for NPS. This year in NPS for M1 kid needs to be between 2'8" to 3'2" (new rule )... my son is not eligible. he is old for M1 ..they donot take kids directly to M2 (against their school policy) ...
For LKG kid has to be 4+ and they donot have nursery for the age group 3'3" to 4years. So many such similar rules in diff schools.
So ideally I should have tried for him last year when he was 2 and 1/2. But I wanted him to be a lil older to class rather then being the youngest in class and completing with kids almost a year older than him !!!
I always assumed a kid needs to be 6+ for 1st std ..only now I learned from many schools a kid can be just 5+ for 1std. Infact 6'6" is considered too old for 1std .. These schools keep changing rules every year !!!

agree !

but I thought you should be happy that your kid should match all the criteria ...
btw, which one is saying 2.8 to 3.2 ?. Give me that info.

btw, 2.3 is too young for Mont 1. Did you check whether they mentioned Mont 0 ?.
