my son is completing 12 months now.he has lost 400gms this month.he is extractive doing all kinds of energetic things.but i cudnt make him drink any fluids.he is on breastmilk only during the night.doctor suggested dexolac3 as a supplement.am wondering how to make him drink that.how to train him bottles/sippy/tumblers?!feeding in the spoon takes long time,he is disinterested finally(though he enjoys in the beginning).since i stopped feeding him milk in the day time i used pacifier to soothe him if necessary.but doctor strictly says no to pacifiers.now he needs the pacifier whenever he's disturbrd in the middle of the sleep.shall i continue pacifiers or will it make it difficult in the future(may be in 13-14 months) for weaning b'cos it remainds him about the breastmilk?!

congrats that u ve delivered a boy!may god bless your family!i really need ur suggestion regarding my sons health.he is 13 months old,9.2 kg. b.w was 2.25kg,preterm baby born .he was doing good until i breastfed him.i stopped him feeding for the past 1 month,i felt insufficient.even before that he started losing wt gradually from 9.8 to 9.2 kg slowly in 1 month.my doctor finds him to be ok.adviced multivit,minerals syrup.he hardly drinks 10 ml of milk a day,tried lactogen,jun horlicks,nothing worked out.he hates anything in liquid form may be soup,juice even water.i tried all techniques cup,sippy,bottle,straw cup,the traditional milk cup(little one)...now i stopped trying this for the past 2 days.instead i add milk to most of the solids that he eats.

my son is doing little better today.gave him 120 ml formula milk ,first of this kind in the past 1 month.i tried nuby,but he doesn't sip at all!i'll keep trying.
