my hubbys brother said he wants to visit US along with his family (wife n children) . now thinking about the expenses my BP has shot up.... how can i avoid this ? hi replied. hai

I guess you should ask your husband to reply politely that he would not be able to do it this year.Tell the facts,the truth- the brothers will tend to understand better between themselves.

Its very hard to put up with false image for a long time. sneha replied. i know what you are going through as my mom has gone through the same thing in past ,though not in us but in bombay and people visiting every month from a village in mahdya pradesh .
girl,you have to be determined ,evaluate what will u loose if you just put your foot down and say no i will not sponsor the trip ,period.
call them and tell them that we love to meet you all and your brother (husband)also thinks same ,he is even ready to bear the expenses ,but you know how this expense will bring a rift in ourt personal life ,after you go back we would be cutting expenses from our needs and would have fights because of that .say in a polite manner that tell me if you spend money in a month more than what you can how the things get disturbed .then after sweetly telling all this say firmly that still you wish to come at the expense of our home peace and our relation you are most welcome .
they will think about it.this will only make you bad in their eyes but if you dont then today they are expecting this tommorow they will expect their kids to study here etc...some day you will have to say no .

I know its hard,some ppl r really selfish doest matter wat other ppl hav to go thru... neways wat you can do is plan the tip all the return trip tickets and travel to other trips within US(within US also very expensive... coz the local transport sucks..we had been to CA fr a visit and we had to spend fortune to travel to vegas or FL..) so put all the expences in a e-mail and convert them to indian currency, give them a grand total of wat they need to spend for the trip...

trust me if they hav sence they will get the message, if not they just dnt want to understand and wat u guys to bear the expence...

Rose replied. you will need your husband' s support on this matter... you guys need to sit n disscuss the fin matters.. my husband' s brother are also planning to visit us,we made our fin conditions clear to them and told them the cost that will occur, however as courtsey we hav told them that we will takecare of theri 3yr old daughter expence..

maybe you also can try something like that... or indirectly let them knw the cost of the trip.
